On October 14, 2024, Lower Saxony's Minister for Science and Culture, Falko Mohrs, handed over the funding decision for the TEN.efzn project amounting to 58.2 million euros to the Energy Research Center of Lower Saxony. The Institute of German and International Mining and Energy Law is participating in the project.

The elenia Institute for High Voltage Technology and Power Systems at TU Braunschweig and the Institute for German and International Mining and Energy Law at TU Clausthal contributed a paper to the NEIS Conference 2024 on Sustainable Energy Supply and Energy Storage Systems in Hamburg. It analyzed the possible technical applications (multi-use) of home energy storage systems against the background of the German legal framework. The contribution was awarded the Best Paper / Presentation Award. It will be published via IEEExplore.
